Every year, the Inland Empire section offers two $500 Scholarships to students of Inland Empire Section members to encourage them in pursuit of a college degree in pursuing an Architecture, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Geological Sciences, and Land Surveying Degree.

This year, the scholarship committee that consists of Carlos Camarillo, the Chair, Joya Gilster-Nava, Elaheh Hadipour, Aaron Brady, Tim Sharp and Shabbir Ahmed chose two most qualified applicants to receive the scholarships. Meredith Robie and Esha Nuzhat were the two recipients for 2008 Inland Empire scholarship. Good luck to both of them in pursuant of their careers. The awarding ceremony was performed at the Inland Empire Section meeting.

 

The Scholarship committee consisting of Tim Sharp, Carlos Camarillo, Shabbir Ahmed, and Joya Gilster had come to a decision and announced recipients after reviewing the submitted applications. The two students receiving the Inland Empire Section Scholarship Award are, Kyle Pool, majoring in Civil engineering and Nathan Meraz with the majoring in optical engineering. The $500 scholarship checks were presented on August 16, 2007 to the recipients at a luncheon held for them and their family . Special thanks goes to the committee members for their time and effort.
